The JSerra Catholic girls are currently the team to beat in California. 

The high school squad from San Juan Capistrano -- ranked No. 3 nationally -- lead the state with the best 5K average, clocking in with a time of 17:00.62. Buchanan, the defending Division I champions and the No. 4 ranked team in the country, are No. 2 in 17:06, while Santiago Corona is third (17:19.46) and Ventura is fourth (17:21.68).
