The girls' 800m in California is a hotbed of significant improvements that are impacting the CIF State Championship contenders and the future stars of the state. We gathered the top five hundred 800m times in California to examine which girls have achieved notable personal records and who is on the brink of setting new ones. 

The most improved girl is Romy Kiessling from Palo Alto High School, who has shown great talent in the Central Coast Section. This year, she concentrated on the 800m and improved by 38 seconds. This is helping her main event, the 1600m, as she holds a new shiy PR of 5:12.

Violet Pinter is the only underclassman in the top 5 for the most improved 800m girls, with a 19-second PR from last week at a dual meet. This improvement has also helped the Trabuco Hills sophomore make huge leaps in the 3200m and 1600m.
