This Week's Nominees:
Maximo Zavaleta, ML King (SS) (California): Swept both distance races at the Redondo Nike Invitational, winning the 1600 in 4:08.93 over a massive field of 797 runners and placing second in the 3200 with 9:02.12.
Bo Ausmus, Redondo Union (SS) (California): Launched a meet-winning 60-6 in the shot put at the Redondo Nike Invitational, topping a field of 53 competitors.
Ejam Yohannes, Loyola (SS) (California): Clocked a personal best 46.24 to win the 400 meters at the Redondo Nike Invitational, breaking his PR of 47.28 set last May at Mission League Finals.
Krish Desai, Mira Costa (SS) (California): Posted 8:59.29 in the 3200 meters at the Redondo Nike Invitational, a new PR, breaking his previous best of 9:03 set after his great cross country season. He is the first Californian to break 9 minutes this season and is currently ranked #3 nationally.
Donovan Dunmore, Buchanan (CS) (California): Ran a personal best 21.21 to capture the 200 meters at the Clovis East Carnival, improving from his previous PR of 21.28 set last May at CIF CS Masters Championships.
