California Girls Track Performer of the Week (Feb 23-Mar 1)

Clara Adams of Long Beach Wilson was named last week's Performer of the Week

After another week of indoor track & field action in California, it's time to vote for the MileSplit California girls performer of the week.

The poll closes Wednesday at 10 a.m. ET.

This Week's Nominees:

Jaslene Massey, Aliso Niguel (SS) (California): Won both throwing events at the John/Myers Downey Relays, posting 179-11 in the discus and 51-4 in the shot put. The discus mark was a new PR, improving from her previous best of 179-6 set in February at the Eagle Invitational.

Braelyn Combe, Santiago Corona (SS) (California): Broke the 10-minute barrier for the first time with a 9:59.72 victory in the 3200 at the Mustang Round Up, a massive PR that improved her previous best of 10:39.83 from 2024's Inland Empire Championships by nearly 40 seconds.

Madelyn Sooter, Sunny Hills (SS) (California): Turned in a huge breakthrough in the high jump at the Fullerton City Meet, clearing 5-10 for the win and a new PR that improved from her previous best of 5-0. Also won the 200 in 25.88 and placed second in the 100 at 12.70. Currently, the top junior high jumper in California.

Maliyah Collins, Rosary Academy (SS) (California): Swept the sprints at the Mustang Round Up with times of 11.77 in the 100 and 24.13 in the 200, both meet victories. Ranks as the fastest sophomore in California in both events this season.

Kaahliyah LacySan Jacinto Valley Academy (SS) (California): Won triple Frosh/Soph races at the Saddle-Up Invitational in the 100m hurdles, 300m hurdles, and 300m hurdles. Her crowning moment came in the 300m hurdles, where she ran a state-leading 42.96, which also ranks her as the fastest sophomore in the country.
