This Week's Nominees:
Justine Wilson, Rosary Academy (SS) (California): Clocked a state-leading 11.57 in the 100 for all-conditions at the Texas A&M Bluebonnet High School Invitational, breaking her PR of 11.62 set in March. Also ran 23.87 in the 200 for #2 in California.
Amaya Bharadwaj, Palo Alto (CC) (California): Won the 3200 in 10:20.52 at the Rustbuster Invitational, a massive PR improving from 10:45.65 set last April that moved her to #2 in the state. Also captured the 1600 in 4:57.21 for #3 in California.
Alexa Randall, St. Francis (SJ) (California): Posted a state-leading 55.21 to win the 400 at the Sierra Foothill League Quad, breaking her PR of 57.49 by over two seconds.
Sidney Johnson, Rio Americano (SJ) (California): The top sophomore thrower in California turned in a dominant performance at the Ron Ruptier Invite, winning both the shot put (44-3) and discus (148-7). Both marks rank #3 in the state and represent new PRs, with her discus improving from 140-4.
Alexa Nagasawa, Glendale (SS) (California): Won the 800m in 2:14.09 at the Arcadia Distance Challenge, a four-second personal record from her 2:18.10 last Saturday. Her winning mark currently leads the state and sets a great start to her senior season.
