This Week's Nominees:
Benjamin Harris , Servite (SS) (California): Clocked a state-leading 10.23 in the 100 meters at the Texas A&M Bluebonnet High School Invitational, breaking his PR of 10.31 set last May at the CIF State Championships. The junior finished 4th in a loaded field of 67 runners.
Jace Wells, Servite (SS) (California): Posted a state-leading 20.70 in the 200 meters at the Texas A&M Bluebonnet High School Invitational, a new PR improving from 20.99 set in January at the Texas Tech Wes Kittley Invitational. The sophomore placed 4th in a competitive field of 69.
Hudson Smith, Whitney (SJ) (California): Won the long jump with a state-leading 24-11 at the Whitney League Meet, breaking his PR of 23-2.75 set in March. The junior also claimed the triple jump victory at 44-5 and turned in a PR of 11.36 in the 100 meters, improving from 11.74.
Riley Gash, Arroyo Grande (CS) (California): Cleared a state-leading 16-9 in the pole vault at the Atascadero Memorial Meet, breaking his PR of 16-2 set in January. The junior also won the 110m hurdles in 15.12, a new PR improving from 15.41 set at the same meet last year.
Deonte Littlejohn, Acalanes (NC) (California): Dominated the throws with state-leading marks in both the triple jump (50-1) and discus (182-9) at vs Cal High. The senior's discus throw broke his PR of 176-5 from earlier this season, while his triple jump was a new lifetime best.
