Similar to the 100m and 200m, the combo of 100H/110H and 300H is not a rare sighting. An event like the 300H requires a great amount of precision, thus leading to a rather difficult yet entertaining race for both athletes and spectators.
From the boys side, only two returners from the 2023 CIF-State Championship finals will be present this season; Cayden Roberson (Roosevelt HS) and Vincent Atilano (Cathedral Catholic HS), who finished third and fourth respectively at the state finals last season. Aside from these two boys, only three others have a time under 00:38.00 seconds in the 300H, all of whom are less than half a second off Roberson's leading 00:37.44 mark.
Switching over to the girls side, five of the state finalists from last season will be returning this year as either seniors or juniors. Anisa Bowen-Fontenot once again finds herself in a top three spot, this time being ranked number two behind Kaylin Edwards of Wilson-Long Beach HS, both girls are juniors this season....
