Each year, the ASCIS Clovis XC Invitational previews the CIF State XC Championships with most of the best runners in the state competing. This year, various runners hoped to set a personal course record on the historic Woodward Park course, giving them the confidence needed this November at the state meet. Check out a complete list of the most improved runners from Clovis below to see who may be carrying a lot of momentum into the championship season.

The most improved girl was Natalie Vasquez of Central, who ran 8 minutes and 7 seconds faster than compared to last year. This is a remarkable performance since this is Vasquez's only third race time racing over three miles.

One of the most astonishing improvements came from Brooke Lee, who finished second overall in Friday's Sweepstakes race to run 17:07. This gives her a 2 minute and 32 second improvement that helped her school, Archies Williams, also place third in the sweepstakes race.
