This Week's Nominees:
Damari Dean, De La Salle (NC) (California): Won two events at the Dublin Last Chance PR Invitational, clocking 10.32 in the 100 meters and jumping 21-10 in the long jump. The #2 sophomore in California in the 100, he posted the fastest 100 time of the week statewide.
Drew Harisay, Etiwanda (SS) (California): Captured the shot put title at the Baseline League Championships with a state-leading throw of 60-10.5. Also won the discus with a toss of 169-9.
Anthony Walker, Upland (SS) (California): Turned in a 20.82 victory in the 200 meters at the Baseline League Championships, the fastest 200 time in California this week. Also placed second in the 100 with 10.42, making him the #2 sophomore in the state in the 200 and #4 in the 100.
Kaedyn Burroughs, Wilson - Long Beach (SS) (California): Clocked 46.65 to win the 400 meters at the Moore League TF Finals, posting the week's top time statewide and ranking as the #1 junior in California in the event.
Brandon Andrade, Etiwanda (SS) (California): Swept three events at the Baseline League Championships, winning the long jump at 24-4, the 300 hurdles in 38.92, and the 110 hurdles in 15.10. His long jump was the top mark in the state this week, while he also ran 10.57 in the 100. Ranks as the top junior in California in both the long jump and 300 hurdles.
