It was a huge start to the season for senior Jason Parra of Millikan HS.
Parra led eight runners under the 15:00 minute barrier at the Rosemead XC Invitational on Saturday while running a time of 14:04.60 for the individual title.
The Southern Section once again proved its depth in the world of running, placing six of the top 10 boys on the charts for this previous week.
Looking ahead to next week, one of the most sought after 3-mile races in the nation, the Woodbridge XC Classic, could see many more sub-14:00 minute performances from these young men across the state.
