The girls' 3200m in California is always a highlight when we get to CIF, and it looks to be no different this year as we quickly approach May. In 2025, there will be many familiar faces but possibly several new faces, like Isabella Ruiz from Ontario High School.

The sophomore, Isabella Ruiz, currently sits as the twelfth most improved girl in all of California with a 1:49.77 improvement since the end of 2024. As a freshman, Ruiz showed promise in the 800m with a season's best of 2:30, but she completely switched the script in her super sophomore season.

She now holds a 1600m PR of 5:00 from the Trabuco Hills Invitational, and in the Arcadia Invitational 3200m open she hit a big PR of 10:47. Ultimately, Ruiz is one of the many ladies who are seeing massive improvement in the 3200m so far.

Below is a list of the most improved California girls in the 3200m from the top 500 3200m times as of April 22nd.
