POLL: CA Boys XC Performer of the Week (Nov 17-23)

We'll conduct a poll every week highlighting some of California's best cross country performances.

The California Performer of the Week poll will close at 5 p.m. PST this Thursday, and the winner will be announced shortly after on MileSplit West Social media pages (Instagram, X, Facebook).

CANDIDATES 

Owen Abbott (Dos Pueblos)

Owen Abbot ran 14:28 to lead the boys from Dos Pueblos to an impressive CIF-SS D2 team championship. Dos Pueblos finished the meet with the fastest team time across all divisions in the CIF Southern Section. 

Adrian Cantu (Saugus)

The CIF-SS D2 individual title was decided by just one second among four runners, with Adrian Cantu right in the middle, competing for first place. The junior from Saugus' late push helped him set a personal best of 14:06 for three miles and also secured his team's spot at the State meet. 

Vin Krueger (Oaks Christian) 

Vin Krueger finished with a time of 14:18 to win the CIF-SS D4 individual title by just seven-tenths of a second. The win continues a tradition of Oaks Christian boys performing well during the championship season. 

Clark Gregory (Campolindo) 

The Campolindo boys have been excelling during the second half of this season, and that success continued at the CIF North Coast Section Championships last weekend. Clark Gregory won the CIF-NCS D3 individual title, helping Campolindo secure the team championship with a commanding 37 points. 

Benjamin Fernandez (Matilda Torres)

At the CIF Central Section Championships, Benjamin Fernandez from Matilda Torres led his team to a commanding D2 team victory with only 34 points. Fernandez finished with a time of 15:19, the second-fastest boys' time of the day.
