POLL: CA Boys XC Performer of the Week OCT (20-26)

Last week, Maximo Zavaleta of Martin Luther King was named Performer of the Week

We'll conduct a poll every week highlighting some of California's best cross country performances.

The California Performer of the Week poll will close at 5 p.m. PST this Thursday, and the winner will be announced shortly after on MileSplit West Social media pages (Instagram, X, Facebook).

CANDIDATES

Olly O' Connor (Viewpoint)

On Friday evening at the 77th Annual Mt. SAC Cross Country Invitational, it was the Olly O'Connor show as he stormed away from the D3-5 Team Sweepstakes field with a 14:48. At the moment, this was the second fastest time in meet history and kicked off an excellent weekend at Mt. SAC.

Connor Bilodeau (Jesuit) 

After opening his season at the beginning of October, Connor Bilodeau is ending the month on top as the Flat SAC champion. Bilodeau ran 15:09 on the 5K XC course to beat some of the best in the Sac-Joaquin Section and Northern Nevada.  

Mario Montoya (Redondo)

The D1 & D2 Boys Team Sweepstakes was loaded with some of the best boys in California, and Mario Montoya rose to the top with a 14:50. Montoya finished second in the race and walked away with the second fastest Californian time of the weekend at the Mt. SAC XC Invite.

Ryan Fitzpatrick (The Nueva School)

The inaugural Haystack Tune-Up will give the CIF North Coast Section runners a chance to preview the CIF course before the championships in November. Ryan Fitzpatrick won the Varsity Small School race by 47 seconds with a time of 14:43, securing the fastest time of the meet.

Yohan Anderson (San Clemente)

San Clemente is back on top after a strong effort from Yohan Anderson at the Mt. SAC XC Invitational to help capture the D1-D2 Team Sweepstakes title. Anderson ran 15:03 to finish in an impressive seventh place in the race.
