Jaxon Northcutt (Mt. Carmel)
The dream season for Mt. Carmel senior Jaxon Northcutt continued at the Sundevil Cross Country Invitational, where he ran 14:49 to break the course record. Adding this impressive feat to his long list of accolades further cements Northcutt as a top contender in the state.
Mason Nguyen (Arnold O. Beckman)
Welcome back to the winner's circle, Mason Nguyen! The senior from Arnold O. Beckman secured an impressive victory on the Central Park Invitational Sweepstakes race in a time of 14:38. His first-place finish helped lead Beckman to a team victory.
Elijah Medina (Redlands East Valley)
Shining in the brightest lights is exactly what Elijah Medina does, and that was on full display in the Central Park Invitational Varsity Boys Small Schools Race. The sophomore soloed a 14:55 to secure a victory by over 49 seconds and finished seventh overall in the meet merge.
Foothill Technology Boys
Performer of the Week is more of an individual award, but the Foothill Tech varsity boys did something that you don't see every day. In the Varsity Small Schools race at the Central Park Invitational, the top seven boys finished 4th through 10th place, with Gavin Leedy leading the way at 15:52. Then No.2 through No.7 blanketed the finish line to run between 15:55.1 and 15:55.8.
Elias Thronson (Davis)
Up in Northern California, Elias Thronson outlasted the nationally ranked Jesuit team to win the Bulldog Invitational. The Davis senior ran 15:36 on the 5K course to help his team finish second overall.
