CANIDIDATES
Andres Lomeli (Kimball)
From start to finish at the Kim Duyst Invitational, Andres Lomeli dominated one of the most competitive XC fields we've seen in CA so far this season. Lomeli ran 14:38 to secure the fastest 5K time in California and the 10th fastest rank in the U.S.
Jaxon Northcutt (Mt. Carmel)
The SunDevil from Mt. Carmel continues to make headlines to start the 2025 season by getting his fourth consecutive win of the XC season. At the Palomar League Cluster, Jaxon Northcutt won the varsity boys race in 14:10 to reclaim the fastest time in California for 3 miles.
Dorian Bening (Agoura)
In the senior boys' race at the Moorpark Invitational, Dorian Bening led Agoura to a 17-point victory. His 14:58 for 3 miles not only secured the win but was also the fastest at the meet. This is a terrific opener for Bening and Agoura, considering last season he ran 15:47 at the same invitational.
Carson Ehman (Mira Costa)
Mira Costa finally kicked off their season with a 3-mile race, celebrating with a dominant performance. Carson Ehman led the charge with a win in the senior boys' race in 14:28, securing both the senior team victory and the meet merge team. The Mustangs' top five runners from the meet averaged 14:50, earning an impressive 45 points at the Rosemead Invitational.
Ayden Ramirez (Cajon)
Ayden Ramirez won the sophomore boys' race in 15:07 last season at the Rosemead Invitational, and this Saturday, he upped the ante by winning the junior boys' race in 14:34. His astonishing improvement propelled him to the second fastest runner of the meet and his team to the second best team in the meet.
