California Boys Performer of the Week (Mar. 23-29)

After another week of track & field action in California, it's time to vote for the MileSplit California boys performer of the week.

Note: Athletes who have been nominated in the past two weeks are not eligible. Previous winners are excluded for the rest of the season.

This Week's Nominees:

Justin Wilshusen, Paso Robles (CS) (California): Vaulted a California lead at 17-00 in the pole vault at the CCAA Mountain League Tri Meet. His previous best was 16-6, set when he won the California Winter Championships in February.

Cameron Yarbrough, Del Norte (SD) (California): Posted a personal best of two seconds in the 800m to finish as the runner-up at the 45th Sundevil Track and Field Invitational. His 1:51 performance follows a week after he ran 4:10 in the 1-mile to place second at the Hi-Racer Meet of Champions. 

Jaelen Hunter, Servite (SS) (California): Won the 45th Sundevil Track and Field Invitational in his first open 400m of the season. Hunter's winning time of 46.55 is the second-fastest 400m of his career, ranking him CA No.2 and U.S. No. 1 for sophomores. 

Michael Scarince, South Pasadena (SS) (California): Ran the 3200m state-lead of 8:57.88 in the 3200m, breaking his previous best of 9:09 from this year's Redondo Nike Invitational. Scarince is also currently ranked U.S. No. 10 and U.S. No. 6 for juniors.  

Cooper Stream, Vacaville (SJ) (California): He posted his second personal best in two weeks at The TEN, running 4:06.03 to finish second. His time ranks second in the state and fifth in the U.S.
