CANDIDATES
Connor Bilodeau (Jesuit)
Connor Bilodeau has been a regular presence on the Performer of the Week nominations recently, and this past week, he secured his spot once again as a nominee. The Jesuit sophomore won the SFL XC Championships in 14:43, outpacing the highly-touted field.
At the CVC Finals, Grady Morris ran 15:13 for the fastest 5000m cross country course time of the week. This was a personal record for Morris, which comes at a perfect time as he heads into the postseason.
Toren Habbestad (Yorba Linda)
After finishing runner-up last year to his teammate, Toren Habbestad ran 14:45 to win the Century Conference Finals. This is one of the biggest league finals in the CIF Southern Section that includes three different leagues in one race, making Habbestad's win even more significant.
Thomas Barrera (La Serna)
Last week, Thomas Berrera led a 1-2-3 sweep for La Serna to win the Del Rio League Finals individual and team title. Barrera ran 14:39 to secure the convincing victory and set a 3-mile personal record.
Jansen Geyer (Buchanan)
At the John Seaman's Cross Country Invitational, Jansen Geyer finished runner-up with a new 3-mile personal record of 14:40. This is a major achievement for Geyer because this is one of the last big XC invitational meets for the CIF Central Sections before they enter the championship season. Additionally, this is his second consecutive week finishing as runner-up at a major invitational, following his 2nd-place finish at the Flat SAC last week.
