Evan Noonan, the junior from Dana Hills, has been tearing up the XC courses this season as his most recent performance sits him at a sub-15:00 minute run over the 5K distance.
Noonan was the runner-up out in Idaho at the Bob Firman Invitational, and he led his team to an 11th-place finish in the team standings.
St. Francis from the Southern Section is coming on strongly as they have four runners in the Top 15 times for the 5K this week, with about a 35 second spread between these four runners. Another school to keep an eye on is Loyola, also of the Southern Section, who has their five scoring runners all in the Top 25 performers for the week. Loyola's five runners all clocked a time comfortably under the 16:00 minute mark, with only about a 25 second spread between them.
