Jeremy Kain of Scotts Valley (CC) placed third in the mile at the 2022 Arcadia Invitational in the fastest time by a CA boy in the event over the past decade dating to 2014. The mile has a been a challenge for CA boys in recent years. The last boy from the Golden State to produce a top-10 time in meet history was 2011.
