Junior year in high school is a "prove it year" for many cross country runners as they start considering colleges based on academics or athletics. As the regular season ends, it would be wise to assess which juniors have done exactly that.  

Salvador Quezada has improved by 2 minutes and 32 seconds, making him the most improved junior on our list. He recently set a personal record at the John Seaman's Cross Country Invitational, finishing 6th overall against some of the best runners in the central region. 

Brandon Boatman of Arnold O. Beckman has shown solid improvement since his junior year after running a three-mile PR of 15:16 at the Central Park Invitational. Last year, he finished his season with a 17:13 at the Orange County XC Championships, but now he's demonstrating one of the many ways Beckman can showcase their depth in varsity races.
