Almost all sections in California are represented within the top 10 places this season. There are many girls who have yet to run a 5K since Clovis, the last major invitational which happens to take place on the same course as the State Championships. The race on Saturday should bring us plenty of quick times as these girls prepare to fight for the State title.
Topping the list is Div. II frontrunner, Sadie Engelhardt. The junior from Ventura HS has had a high school career nothing short of phenomenal, and she looks to defend her individual title at Saturday's race.
In second spot for quickest times this season, Rylee Blade. Also a junior, Blade has been headlining meets and articles since her big breakthrough at the CIF State T&F Championships back in May where she won the 3200m championship race. She placed third in the Div. I race during the 2022 State Championships...
