CA Statewide Rankings by Division

DIVISION I

BOYS

1. Great Oak (SS) - Inspired, determined victory at the Great American Invite! The crew crossed the line in less than 15 seconds apart in defeating four nationally ranked programs, including #3 and defending NXN Champs, Loudoun Valley.

2. Bellarmine Prep (CC) - Held off Dublin by the slightest of margins at the De La Salle Invite.   The underclassmen-heavy squad will claim the Central Coast section title.   Colin Peattie leads the Bells.

3. Dublin (NC) - Finished just behind BP at De La Salle Invite; but at full strength, the Gaels get the nod.  Christopher Middleton-Pearson is one of California's best up front.  For now, we have to respect that BP beat them head to head.

4. Roosevelt (SS) - They are taking the phrase 'staying off the radar' to the extreme with only one, competitive race as a full unit this season.  Raul Chavez leads the group.

5. Jesuit (SJ) - Now at full strength with Spencer Pickren, they could very well be ranked higher with a strong supporting cast backing up defending Division I state champion Matt Strangio.

6. Mira Costa (SS) - After losing all of 2018 to injury, Billy Atkinson leads this squad.  They impressed at Woodbridge, despite not firing on all cylinders.

7. Clovis North (CS) - Isaiah Galindo shined with his victory at the Portland Invite.  Squad held off Burbank but they still need to shore up that huge gap within their scoring five.

8.  Burbank (SS) - Clovis North was stronger in their common course showdown at the Portland Invite.

9.  Long Beach Poly (SS) - Shined in capturing the Capital Cross Challenge in Sacramento against a relatively depleted Jesuit squad (missing three on the varsity squad).  Ronan McMahon-Staggs has stepped it up.

10. Crescenta Valley (SS) - With Dylan Wilbur up front, the Falcons are finding their stride as they hit October.

OthersAmador Valley (NC), Buchanan (CS), California (SS), La Serna (SS), Martin Luther King (SS)Monache (CS), Paso Robles (CS), San Marcos (SD), Torrey Pines (SD), Vista Murrieta (SS)

GIRLS

1.  Great Oak (SS) - Rebounded VERY well after a sub-par performance at Woodbridge with their victory at the Great American Festival last weekend. Most impressive was their 20-second scoring gap and the poise of their three freshmen!   Defending State Champ, Tori Gaitan, is working her way back into 2018 form.

2.  Buchanan (CS) - Surprised the state with their performance at Woodbridge and letting us all in that they are so much more than front running Corie Smith!

3.  Saugus (SS) - Have yet to run a complete squad and has stayed away from, for the most part, the high octane invites.  Do not be fooled by their absence away from the limelight thus far.

4t.  Mira Costa (SS) - Sophomore Dalia Frias is up front once again while they configure, with patience, the supporting cast behind her as they have plenty to choose from, talent wise.

4t.  Canyon Crest Academy (SD) - San Diego Section's best is much more than Carlie Dorostkar with strong support from behind, including her freshmen twin sisters.

6.  Chino Hills (SS) - Jacqueline Duarte is a two-time State Meet qualifier but the Huskies have provided with added support, as they surprised us with their Woodbridge performance.

7.  Ayala (SS) - Shaina Berk continues to move our individual rankings while the rest of the cast has this squad right where they finished at the State Meet in 2018.

8.  Yucaipa (SS) - Impressed with how well this squad has improved and provided a strong group behind Danielle Gee.

9. Vista Murrieta (SS) - They have yet to run a full squad at any one meet but the pieces are there for another successful November.  They don't have quite the depth of their 2018 but patience is key here as they allow Devyn Candaele to heal for the postseason.

10. San Clemente (SS) - As with most of these squads, they have a strong front runner leading the way.  Footlocker National Finalist, Hana Catsimanes represents the Tritons in this case.   Developing support behind her has this squad trying to break into the top seven in the SS.

Others - Beckman (SS), Burbank (SS), Carlmont (CC), Clovis West (CS), Del Norte (SD), Granada Hills (LA), Monache (CS), Trabuco Hills (SS), West Ranch (SS)
