Each year, the Inland Empire Challenge serves as one of the final races that athletes all across the OC can use to gauge themselves against their competition before CIF. This means the competitiveness is always at 10! The competition creates outstanding performances that need to be highlighted top to bottom. 

In the following two pages, we gathered a list of some of the most remarkable performances from the weekend. Check out the boys and girls most improved list at the Inland Empire Challenge to see who drastically improved from last year's meet. 

The most improved runner from last weekend was Melissa Rodriguez from Fontana High School, who improved by 7 minutes and 8 seconds compared to last year at the IE Challenge. By hitting that huge improvement, Rodriguez earned a huge personal record of 30:22. 

Fontana also had the most improved runner on the boys' side, led by Hugo Ramirez-Estrada, who improved by 6 minutes and 48 seconds. This wasn't Ramirez-Estrada's fastest race of the season,...
