We'll conduct a poll every week highlighting some of California's best cross country performances.
The California Performer of the Week poll will close at 5 p.m. PST this Thursday, and the winner will be announced shortly after on MileSplit West Social media pages (Instagram, X, Facebook).

CANNIDATES
Kiefer Willcox (Tahoe-Tuckee)- Up in Northern California, Kiefer Willcox beat some of the best in California on the 4000m course at the Oakmont Invitational. The senior finished in 11:37 to win the close race by less than a second.
Mario Montoya (Redondo Union)- The Redondo Union sophomore repeats as a California Performer of the Week after leading the Sea Hawks to another team championship. Mario Montoya won the Saddleback Cross Country Cup in a finishing time of 9:13, capturing back-to-back wins to start the 2025 season.
Jace Deledonne (Riverside Poly)- The most loaded boys' race of the weekend featured an impressive performance from Jace Deledonne, who finished first at the Cool Breeze Invitational. The senior from Riverside Poly ran 14:20 to win the Sundown Showdown race.
Jaxon Northcutt (Mt. Carmel)- At the CCA Ravens XC Invitational, Jaxon Northcutt earned his second straight performer of the week nomination after winning the Senior/Invite race. Northcutt finished in 14:15 to beat a talented field loaded with San Diego and Southern Section talents.
Adrien Guerrero (Downey)- At the Great Cow Run, Adrien Guerrero won a battle to the line in a finishing time of 14:44. The senior not only captured one of his first big invitational wins, but he also broke 15 minutes for the first time.
