DIVISION II


BOYS

1.  Newbury Park (SS) -- (pictured) Nico Young, Jace Aschbrenner go 1-2. Young sizzles 13:54.1. Three in Top 10.

2.  Dana Hills (SS) -- Soph Jai Dawson led the Dolphins to second behind Newbury Park.

3.  Whitney (SJ) -- With a week off, Wildcats should be primed for state.

4.  Redlands East Valley (SS) -- Nice move up after finishing two points behind Dana Hills.

5.  Claremont (SS) -- Week off for some runners helped Wolfpack.

6.  Loyola (SS) -- Anthony Stone's fifth led Cubs to Top 5 finish in SS.

7.  Thousand Oaks (SS) -- Did what it had to do in the SS Championships.

8.  De La Salle (NC) -- Just as close as expected with Spartans edging Granada by 3 points in NCS title run.

9.  Granada (NC) -- State may allow Granada to move up with solid pack.

10.  Poway (SD) -- Impressed at San Diego Section with 49-second 1-5 gap.

Others: Anaheim Canyon (SS), La Costa Canyon (SD), Monte Vista (NC), Ridgeview (CS), Mountain View St. Francis (CC), West Torrance (SS), Vacaville (SJ), Willow Glen (CC).


GIRLS

1.  Sacramento St. Francis (SJ) -- Got a chance to rest up before State Meet.

2.  Newbury Park (SS) -- (pictured) Made it a Newbury Park sweep in SS Championships.

3.  Claremont (SS) -- Impressive runners-up in SS who always come to run at state.

4.  El Toro (SS) -- Clearly didn't push it in SS Prelims, finishing third in finals.

5.  Mountain View St. Francis (CC) -- Rested after winning CC title with 40-second gap.

6.  Serrano (SS) -- Finished strong for a fourth place at SS meet.

7.  Anaheim Canyon (SS) -- Nothing to lose this week after fifth place finish.

8.  Simi Valley (SS) -- Up and down. Need to regroup.

9.  Granada (NC) -- Step up after winning NCS handily.

10.  Mt. Carmel -- Sundevils surprised Poway in SDS meet.
