Silver Creek jetted to their season-best time at the Semis last Saturday and will be favored to win here. Monta Vista is the only other section team to dip under the 48-second mark this season and will keep them honest. The race for the last state meet spot will be between Menlo Atherton and Soquel.
The race for the CCS title in this event for the boys will come down to a battle between two WCAL teams, Archbishop Mitty and Valley Christian SJ. Mitty won the WCAL title with a section-best 41.74 and Valley Christian SJ had the fastest time at the semis last Saturday. Monterey and another WCAL team, Riordan, should battle for 3rd place.
