Here's Your California Winter Championship Information

We're less than a week into the new year and California already has a handful of winter qualifiers in the bag. 

This year's Winter Championships will take place at Arcadia Invitational on Feb. 3. Last year's meet featured 1,200 athletes. 

Athletes who intend to compete must qualify across 19 meets from Dec. 16 to Jan. 27. 

This week's window (Jan. 6) includes meets at Cal State Fullerton and Roosevelt, which leaves three more weeks of open-qualifying left. 

The Winter Championships will largely include non-traditional events. 

Athletes will have options to compete in the 60m, 60mH, 150m, 300m, 600m, 1,500m, 3,000m, SMR, DMR and mixed 4x400, along with the 4x200 and 4x800. 

Field event options include the long jump, shot put, high jump, pole vault, triple jump, weight throw and pentathlon. 

Individual entries are $12. If you qualify for the Winter Championships, the proceeding entries are a separate $25. You can pay at your qualifying meet. 

Registration for the championships must be done at the qualifying meet.
