MileSplit Announces Partnership With EPI Sports

For nearly two decades, EPI Sports has been a respected and widely recognized name across the track and field and cross country landscape in Southern California. It is with tremendous excitement that we welcome Jim Roldan, Nate Fox and EPI Sports to the growing team of partners with MileSplit California and the MileSplit Network.

EPI Sports was the first online entry provider in the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF)-Southern Section in 2003, and has continued as the primary online entry provider since. The Southern Section is by far the largest of the 10 CIF sections, serving nearly 560 schools across parts of eight counties.

"We are super excited about our teaming arrangement so we can be a part of this great/integrated network you are building between meet managers, timers, and now one mostly-universal entry system," said Roldan, the company's co-owner.

Added Fox: "We are thrilled to partner with MileSplit to enhance both track and cross country in California. Their depth of coverage is unparalleled and working with our large base of registrations in California will give both coaches and athletes access to even better meet result data and rankings!"

Roldan and Fox, former CIF-SS athletes and coaches, take great pride in their background and draw from that to provide the best user experience possible.

"We know and understand the CA landscape and love the sport," Roldan said. "We know the needs of meet managers across CA and are ready to transfer that knowledge into the MileSplit platform."

"We are thrilled to partner with EPI Sports," said Alonso Rodriguez, senior manager of data and registration for MileSplit. "Jim Roldan and Nate Fox are true pioneers of the sport who have been serving the Southern Section of California since 2003. Our partnership will allow us to streamline meet management for coaches and athletic programs while also allowing us to better cover the athletes."

EPI Sports joins a growing list of MileSplitCA partners that also includes Diablo Timing, Extra Mile Timing, Finished Results, Record Timing, Red Cap Timing, Royal Results, Speed Timing and SoCal Timing.

"We look forward to helping MileSplit build on the legacy of great service and CIF know-how that we have established over the past 17 years," Roldan said. "We remain on as the CIF-SS online entry provider for Prelims. However, the teaming arrangement with MileSplit during the regular season will further expand our exposure to all leagues by providing an affordable/free online entry platform for all to us."

In addition to content in front of and behind the paywall, a comprehensive database, and statewide results, MileSplit also offers registration free of charge to all coaches using the platform.
