Each year, the Orange County XC Championships serves as one of the final races that athletes all across the OC can use to gauge themselves against their competition before CIF. This means the competitiveness is always at 10! The competition creates outstanding performances that need to be highlighted top to bottom.
In the following two pages we gathered a list of some of the most remarkable performances from the weekend. Check out the boys and girls most improved list at the OC XC Championships to see who drastically improved from last year's meet.
The biggest improver on our list is Leyna Chau of Fountain Valley, who ran 7 minutes and 17 seconds faster than last season at OC champs. As a sophomore, she is experiencing excellent improvement compared to her ninth-grade year, when she didn't break 30 minutes, but now she is consistently under that barrier.
