XC 2022 CLOSER LOOK - SAC-JOAQUIN SECTION

Four of the 10 individual division champions return in the Sac-Joaquin Section, including CIF-State Division I winner Anna McNatt of McClatchy. But McNatt is one of only three returning athletes in the section who placed among the top 10 at State last November. The others are Whitney senior Katie Kopec, who placed seventh in D-II, and Sonora sophomore Broen Holman, who was eighth in D-IV. Holman, who placed second to now-graduated teammate Adin Dibble in the SJS D-4 race, is among the state's top boys in the 2025 class. He, along with SJS D-5 champion Andrew Burr of Sacramento Country Day, and Jesuit's Chase Cressman were easy choices on the MileSplitCA All-State Freshman team from last fall.
