MILESPLIT CA GIRLS PERFORMER OF THE WEEK

Samarra Monrroy, a senior at Long Beach Wilson (SS) and a transfer from nearby Millikan (SS) took over the CA lead in the 400 meters, running a then-U.S. No. 4 time of 54.58 at The California Relays.
For that performance, you voted Monrroy as the MileSplitCA Girls Track and Field Performer of the Week for the week ending March 19.
Monrroy received 46.20 percent of nearly, 12,500 votes in a statewide poll. Cate Peters, a junior at Monte Vista (NC) was second in the voting, receiving 36.47 percent of the vote.
