Brazil Neal, a junior at Serra (SS), won the 200-meter dash in 23.68 (4.6) to beat Clovis North (CS) senior Takiya Cenci by 0.10 seconds, placed second in the 100m (11.57/3.3), and helped the winning 4x100m relay team run 46.08 as Werra won the overall team title at the CIF-State Championships.
For that performance on the track at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Clovis, you voted Neal as the MileSplitCA Girls Track and Field Performer of the State Meet.
Neal received 49.42 percent of more than 24,000 votes in a statewide poll. Alyssa Hope, a junior at ML King (SS), was second in the voting, receiving 47.52 percent of the vote.
