MILESPLIT CA BOYS PERFORMER OF THE WEEK
Delaney Crawford, a senior at Upland (SS), enters the 2022 outdoor season ranked No. 1 among returners in the 300-meter hurdles, tied for No. 5 in the 100m, and No. 7 in the 200m.
You voted this elite sprinter-hurdler as the top senior combination-event boys track and field athlete in CA as part of our CA Boys Performer of the Week Poll series.
Crawford received 60.20 percent of more than 5,500 votes in a statewide poll. Fresno Central (CS) senior Cameron Tarver was second in the voting, receiving 32.40 percent of the vote.
With one more week before the official 2022 outdoor season begins, we are once again polling on your projection of a top returning combination athlete entering the outdoor season. This week we have filled all lanes of the track with nine elite options as the top returning combination-event T&F athlete in the Class of 2023.
(For consideration here, athletes had to rank at or near the top in the junior class in more than one event of the MileSplitCA database rankings based on 2021 outdoor performances. Winter 2021-22 performances were not considered.)
