Tatiana Cornejo, a senior at St. Francis (SJ), ran the 5K William Jessup University course in 17:53.8 to win the Delta League title by 18.8 seconds over senior classmate Cate Joaquin.
In recognition of her accomplishment, Cornejo was voted as CA's Girls Cross Country Runner of the Week for the week ending Oct. 31, receiving 62.33 percent of the vote in a statewide poll. Claremont (SS) sophomore Jie Yi Denise Chen was was second with 29.63 percent of the vote.
Vote for this week's CA Girls Cross Country Runner of the Week based on last week's meet results through Nov. 6. Voting closes Friday at 9 p.m.
