CA's Top 10 boys to watch for 2020 Track & Field Season

8) Colin Peattie Bellarmine (CCS) 1600 Meters/3200 Meters

Last year, Redwood senior Liam Anderson was coming off an NXN title and was the defending state champion in the 1600m. Jesuit junior Matt Strangio took control of the race late and powered his way toward another state track title. As shocking as that may have been, the bigger surprise may have taken place behind Strangio as Bellarmine sophomore Colin Peattie rallied in the last lap to finish in 2nd place with a new PR of 4:09.99. Peattie proved to be an even tougher competitor in the 3200m as he finished in 8th place with a huge PR at 9:09.17. This past fall, Peattie recorded his best XC season to date as he won his first section title, finished in 4th place at the state meet and qualified for the Foot Locker National meet.
