CIF-SS Division 2 Preview
With all of the recent developments involving the Calabasas girls, they are still in a position to push Mission Viejo for the girls team title. Meanwhile, with Derek Pekar (above in Jeffrey Parenti photo) looking to finish in the top three in FOUR events, along with Carlos Aviles in the throws, the Cougars of Ventura are the favorites on the boys side! They will still to execute to hold off Newport Harbor, Golden Valley, and Calabasas.
There are relatively few returners when compared to the other three divisions as some vacated their spots in lieu of moving to Division 1 or were unable to advance to this round. So, expect a ton of new faces to highlight the Division 2 finals this season.
Based on 2019 seasonal bests, we used our Virtual Meet option and this is what the numbers revealed - you can't get more accurate than this!
