Competing at the Sundown Track Series Meet No. 2 at Azusa Pacific University, Andrew won the first race of the night, out-racing Taye Newman, another freshman, to win the mile race in 4:37.08 (4:35.54 for 1600m split). That mile time ranks U.S. No. 2 in the class after the first weekend of the outdoor season.
Burr was a MileSplitCA All-Freshman first-team selection after a stellar cross country season in which he placed 13th at the State Meet in Division V with the No. 5 overall time in the class (16:07.90 PR for 5K). He won the Sac-Joaquin Section Division 5 title (16:43.10). Of his 12 races in the MileSplit database, Burr won 10 of those, including at Clovis (16:35.60) and at Woodbridge (16:03.20 PR for 3 miles).
