Capital Christian is the clear favorite when you look at season bests, but Colfax appeared to close the gap significantly last weekend at the sub-section meet. This may be a two-team battle, as the next group of teams is 70-80 points back.
Individuals to Watch
Capital Christian's Micah Filer leads the division by a pretty wide margin - 23 seconds last weekend at Frogtown, and almost a minute when you look at season bests. Anthony Vasquez (Central Catholic) is the next-best competitor, and he holds a pretty significant margin over the rest of the field, too. Jamir Jones (Vacaville Christian) and Dylan Corkill (Victory Christian) could be in contention for individual advancement to the state meet, while Matthew Shuman (Capital Christian) wants a top-3 finish to help boost his team's title chances.
