Allison Wilder Takes Second In Triple Jump At NCAA West Preliminary May 27, 2011

Eugene, OR—Allison Wilder took second place in the triple jump at the NCAA West Preliminary Track & Field meet in Eugene, Oregon Friday afternoon with a distance of 13.22m. She recorded that throw on her second attempt of the day and was in first place for most of the event until Chantel Malone from Texas topped her at 13.23m with her fifth attempt. The top 12 placers advance to the NCAA Finals in Drake from June 8-11.

Irvine—The Big West Conference announced on Tuesday that UC Riverside freshman Seth Totten was named Cross Country Men's Athlete of the Week for races held between Oct. 2-9. Totten finished in 19th place out of 239 runners at the 36th Annual Charles Bowles Willamette Invitational on Oct. 2 to lead the Highlanders to a sixth place team finish out of 23 squads. His time of 24:22.60 established a personal best 8k time and was the fastest ever by a UCR true freshman.

For the second time in as many weeks, Allison Wilder broke the UC Riverside indoor triple jump mark leaping 42' 2.25" at the Husky Classic in Seattle Washington Saturday afternoon. Karen Han Sets UC Indoor High Jump Record At UW Invitational Jan 30, 2010

Karen Han began the 2010 indoor track and field season by etching her name into the UCR record books clearing 1.72m in the high jump at the UW Invitational in Seattle, Washington. Allison Wilder (pictured) also started the year in fine fashion besting 36 other competitors in the triple jump with a leap of 12.62m. 16 Fall Student-Athletes Named To The Big West All-Academic Team Dec 20, 2009

Irvine, CA - The Big West Conference announced prior to the holidays that a total of 117 student-athletes from the nine member institutions were honored on the 2009 Big West Conference Fall All-Academic Team for the sports of women's volleyball, men's and women's soccer, and men's and women's cross country. But Daniel Kithoka, his dad, had to convince Emmanuel that running was his ticket to a brighter future. The family had moved from Kenya to the United States in 2001, when Emmanuel was 9, and he grew up an Americanized teenager who decided that running for its own sake was tedious and not nearly as enjoyable as basketball.

Eleanor Roosevelt High School Grad Bryan Adams To Run For UCR Oct 22, 2009

UC Riverside Director of Track & Field Irv Ray announced today that Eleanor Roosevelt High School graduate Bryan Adams will run for the Highlanders beginning this spring. The Corona, CA native boasts a personal best of 21.82 in the 200m and 47.95 in the 400m. He was also a member of the Mustang's 4x100m relay team that ran a 41.84 last season, and the 4x400m team which posted the second best time in the state and seventh fastest in the nation at 3:14.22.
