The California Performer of the Week poll will close at 5 p.m. PST on Thursday, March 13, and the winner will be announced shortly after.

Christina Gray (Carson)It took a minute for Gray to process her performance fully, but afterward, she couldn't stop smiling once she maintained her California lead and PR'ed in the 100. She ran 11.50 to break the Redondo meet record and move up to U.S. No. 6.

Makenna Herbst (Carlsbad)At the 37th Annual Long Beach Relays, Makenna Herbst ran 2:07.92 in her 800m season opener. She kicks off the season as U.S. No.2 and California leader in the outdoor 800m rankings.

Paige Echsner (Del Norte): Eschner won the Mt. Carmel Field and Distance Carnival with a vault of 12-6, becoming the leader in California and ranking sixth in the U.S.  

Lorrin Hervey (St. Bernard)At Redondo, Hervey ran 14.03 for a personal record, meet record, and California-leading mark in the 100m hurdles. She also ran 57.13 in the 400m later in the day for a PR.

Olivia Griffin (Da Vinci Charter Schools): Griffin remains undefeated in her 300m hurdle races this season, having won the Redondo Nike Invitational. She clocked a time of 43.81, making her California's leader and placing her in the top 20 in the U.S.

Holly Barker (Trabuco Hills): Barker had a couple of impressive performances last week, starting with a time of 5:00.32 in the 1600m at the Trabuco Hills vs Portola dual meet. Then, on Friday night, she ran 10:21.33 to win the Varsity Girls 3200m at Redondo, earning the CA No.2 ranking.
