The Cardinal Gibbons sophomore first showed signs of his big leap forward with a 5K on the track in June.
In this Hoka One One Future Stars athlete spotlight, we feature Beavercreek High School (OH) sophomore Ben Ewert. As a ninth grader at Beavercreek, Ewert ran some remarkable times including a 4:17 1600 and 16:05 5K. He even dabbled in the steeplechase with an impressive 6:09 performance in the 2K steeple that is not far off the nation's best in the event.
Most people would be elated to win 1 state title in their high school career. E.C. Glass sophomore Libby Davidson on the other hand decided it would be fun to try and win them all. Thus far she has not been too far off that goal winning 4/5 state titles as a freshman and because of that she is Virginia's Hoka One Future Star.
Running is a family affair for Holy Trinity sophomore Trevor Kattenberg. Older brother Tristan was a standout for the Tigers, while twin brother Egan, and little sister Anique are current members of the team. Kattenberg was fourth at the 1A Cross Country Finals as a freshman and is coming off of an outdoor track season where he ran 9:39.33 in the 3,200m (4th at state) and 4:30.93 for 1,600m. In his first two meets of the season, he has finished second and fourth and posted sub 16 minute times of 15:52 and 15:59.80. His 15:52 is the fastest sophomore time in Florida and US#12.

What is about the Dakotas and having girls that can do it all? A few years back, North Dakota had an athlete by the name of Laura Roesler winning state track titles in the sprints to along with state titles in cross country. Today, South Dakota has an athlete in Ipswich High School sophomore Macy Heinz who has already claimed a double digit number of state titles since her 7th grade year in distances ranging from the 100 meter dash to 1600 meter run.
The Ragsdale sophomore has been on fire at the start of the season, despite having her spring season ended early by injury.
In this Hoka One One Future Stars athlete spotlight, we feature Vanadlia-Butler High School (OH) sophomore Emma Bryant. As a ninth grader at Vandalia-Butler, Bryant ran 18:35 for 5K in cross country and posted a 5:01 PR in the 1600 and 2:18 time in the 800.
