CANNIDATES
Jack Stadlman (Temecula Valley): A historic season comes to an end for Jack Stadlman with a CIF Championship in the 400m and a massive PR in the 200m. Stadlman ran 20.82 in the 200m to finish second and become the 16th fastest in the nation.
Prince Babaloa-Buchango (St. Ignatius College Prep): Prince Buchango-Babaloa delivered a triple worth remembering at the CIF State Championships, opening with a runner-up finish in the 110m hurdles and a fifth-place showing in the 100m. His day crescendoed in the 200m, where he won in 20.79 seconds, ranking him 14th in the nation.
McKay Madsen (Clovis North): Make it 4 CIF State Championships for McKay Madsen! The BYU commit ended his CIF career, winning the shot put and discus competition for the second year in a row. Additionally, his 69-11 throw in the shot put ranks him as the U.S. No. 3 in 2025.
Jasir Fontenot (San Diego):The phenomenal freshman broke the 100m hurdles CA State Meet Record in a time of 13.31 in the prelims. In the finals, he ran a windy 13.21 to win and move him up to U.S. No.5 all-conditions in high school history. His wind-legal 13.31 also places him at No.8 all-time in U.S. high school history.
Jaden Jefferson (De Le Salle): The talk of the town became Jaden Jefferson after his shocking 10.01 in the 100m prelims. He followed this performance with a 10.27 victory in the finals and a 4th place finish in the 200m in 20.86.
Khaliq Muhammad (Pittsburg): In the middle of the running action, Khaliq Muhammad captured the entire stadium's attention when he broke the CA State Meet Record. He then went on to vault over 17-10.5, ranking him as the second-best vaulter in the nation.
Leo Francis (Santa Margarita): Leo Francis shined at the CIF State Track and Field Championships with a long jump title and a third-place finish in the 200m. His efforts propelled Santa Margarita to third in the team standings with the help of pole vaulter Brady Furr. Also, wind-aided 25-0.75 ranks him U.S. No.8 for all-conditions this season.
Alden Morales (JSerra): After running 1:51 to finish third in the 800m, Alden Morales anchored JSerra in a 1:50 split to win the 4x800m relay. JSerra's time of 7:33.34 broke the state meet record and ranks them first in the nation.
Keith Cotlage (Cajon): Fifteen straight wins in the triple jump will conclude Keith Cotlage's memorable California season at the State Championships. Colgate's winning jump of 51-4.5 ranks him second in the nation.
Jayden Rendon (Carson): After finishing runner-up at State in 2024, Jayden Rendon secures his victory in a personal record of 36.50 to rank himself U.S. No.12.
Conor Lott (Clovis North): The 1600m favorite, Conor Lott, lived up to the billing to earn a victory and a California lead. Lott's 4:03.32 in the 1600m ranks him as the U.S. No. 12 this season.
Jaelen Hunter (Servite): The number one freshman in the 400m, Jaelen Hunter, placed second in his event and was part of Servite's 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams. All of these performances were crucial in helping Servite win the team title, which included only freshmen and sophomores.
