California Performer of the Week (Sept. 30-Oct. 6)

Get ready to cast your vote for the California Performer of the Week!

It's October! We have a few big-time invitationals lined up this month, so make sure you keep an eye on your runner to see how they shape up against the rest of the state. We had some good times getting posted throughout the weekend. Could this be an early indicator of Clovis Invitational favorites?

Boys CA Performer of the Week (poll)

Evan Noonan - Dana Hills HS (SS) - The Southern Section senior took a trip to Indiana for the Nike XC Town Twilight Invitational. Noonan clocked a quick 15:06.1 in his season 5K debut. He finished 10th in the Race of Champions race (highest rated race of the invitational).

Dylan Jubak - Trabuco Hills HS (SS) - Posted the fastest time of the day for a California athlete at the Central Park Invitational, hosted hosted in Huntington Beach, CA. The senior covered the 3-mile course in 14:42.7 and was just two seconds behind first place and out-of-state runner, Justin Rawe of Nevada.

Aidan Antonio - Woodbridge HS (SS) - Antonio holds his own against the seniors as he places 4th at the Central Park Invitational. The sophomore was the fastest non-senior athlete of the day after clocking a 14:47.8, less than ten seconds from the winner and just over five seconds from the first Californian.

Girls CA Performer of the Week (poll)

Summer Wilson - Irvine HS (SS) - Opened up her 2024 cross country season with a win and a quick 16:19.4 at the Central Park Invitational. After transferring schools, Wilson seems to have picked up right where she left off last season.

Marley McCullough - Newport Harbor HS (SS) - Held off the field in the closing stages of the Brea Olinda Invitational. Ran an 18:23.8 over the 5K distance and managed to be within twenty seconds of her P.R with about seven weeks left in the season.

Cameron Macias - Clovis West HS (CS) - Took part in the Golden Shoe Showdown in the Central Section. Clocked an 11:24.37 to take the win over the rarely run two mile cross country race. Led a pack of three other Clovis West HS girls under the 11:50 mark during the race.
