CANDIDATES
Morgan Herbst (Carlsbad): The defending state champ in the 300m hurdles ran exactly like it at the Falcon Relays. Morgan Herbst ran a U.S. lead of 41.32, which is only 0.06 off her personal record.
Hanne Thomsen (Montgomery): The Queen of the Double went to the Dublin Distance Fiesta after walking away with All-American honors at New Balance Nationals Indoor. She first won the 800m in 2:10 (CA No.3) and then the 3200m in 10:21.77.
Journey Cole (Redondo Union): The true definition of a breakthrough performance happened for Journey Cole at the Mustang Speed Invitational. The Redondo Union senior won the 100m with a time of 11.48 to take the California lead and jump into the U.S. top 10. She returned to win the 200m in a CA lead of 23.86.
Paige Echsner (Del Norte): At the Del Norte vs Ramona dual meet, Paige Eschner vaulted over 13-0 in the pole vault to take the California lead.
Charlotte Hopkins (Arcadia): BIG WIN ALERT! Charlotte Hopkins ran 4:55.10 in the mile to win the Adidas Meet of Champions HS Distance Classic. She started off her season winning the CA Winter Championships 3000m last month, and she now adds another big win to her belt.
