POLL: CA Boys Performer of the Week (March 17-23)

Last week Wyland Obando was named CA Performer of the Week (March 10-16)

We'll conduct a poll every week highlighting some of California's best performances.

The California Performer of the Week poll will close at 5 p.m. PST on Thursday, March 27, and the winner will be announced shortly after.

CANDIDATES

Eli Fitchen-Young (Santa Cruz)At the Dublin Distance Fiesta, Eli Fitchen-Young led four boys under the 9 minute barrier in the 3200m. Fitchen-Young won the race in 8:56.43 to become U.S. No.2 in the event. 

McKay Madsen (Clovis North)After earning All-American honors last week at Nike Indoor Nationals, McKay Madsen stepped into the discus ring and hit a big season's best, strengthening his CA No.1 mark. His mark of 205-4 makes him U.S. No.3.

Justin Hart (Granada Hills Charter)At the Maurice Green Invitational, Justin Hart ran a CA No.2 mark in the 100m and 200m. These personal records in the 100m and 200m were 10.42 and 21.35.

Aydon Stefanopoulos (Los Gatos)Against the best distance runners in Northern California, Stefonapolos pulled off an impressive double at the Dublin Distance Fiesta. He ran 4:10.46 to win the 1600m, and then he claimed the U.S. No.3 spot in the 3200m with a time of 8:57.33 to finish second.

Noah Smith (Long Beach Poly): Long Beach Poly traveled to the Chandler Rotary Invitational in Arizona, and Noah Smith followed. Smith ran 46.55 to win the 400m and earn the sixth fastest time in the nation.
