Aaliyah McCormick, a senior at Scripps Ranch (SD), in shattering the Mt. Carmel Invitational meet record in the 100-meter hurdles in 13.86 (1.8), now owns both of the fastest marks ever in San Diego Section. At that time, that mark ranked U.S. No. 5 (and now ranks U.S. No. 6 for wind-legal times).

For that performance, you voted the Oregon-bound McCormick as the MileSplitCA Girls Track and Field Performer of the Week for the week ending March 26.

McCormick received 50.82 percent of more than 20,300 votes in a statewide poll. Reign Redmond, a junior at Carson (LA) was second in the voting, receiving 44.99 percent of the vote in one of the closest voting competitions we've had in this series.

Each week we will put seven top performers from the past week on the line and let you choose the top CA Track and Field Performer of the Week.

Note that rankings are based on results in the MileSplit database as of Monday early afternoon and are subject to change as more results are loaded into the database.

Voting closes Friday at 9 p.m.
