It was another week were we had quite a few frosh/soph track and field athletes who improved their national class ranking over the past week. Here's a sampling:

Girls

- Madison Forbes (Mater Dei/SS/So.) 37-7.5 triple jump at the Laguna Trophy Invitational, CA No. 9 overall, CA No. 1 in the class, U.S. No. 12 in the class


- Georgia Jeanneret (JSerra Catholic/SS/So.) 4:58.01 mile at Arcadia Distance Challenge, U.S. No. 1 class

- Perry McElhinney (Castilleja/CC/So.) 10:33.71 for 3K at Saint Francis Invitational, U.S. No. 1 class

Boys

- Vincent Atilano (Cathedral Catholic/SD/So.) 40.29 for 300m hurdles at Falcon Relays, tied for CA No. 18 overall, CA No. 1 in the class, U.S. No. 15 in the class

- Malachi Carrasco (Selma/CS/So.) 6-6.25 high jump at Rafer Johnson Invitational, CA No. 3 overall, No. 1 in the class, and U.S. No. 5 in the class

- Chase Farrell (Oaks Christian/SS/So.) 21.56 (3.4) 200m at Maurice Green Invitational, CA No. 1 in the class, No. 9 overall for all-conditions marks, U.S. No. 5 in the class

- Emmanuel Hernandez (Cathedral/SS/So.) 4:23.11 mile at Arcadia Distance Challenge, U.S. No. 1 class

- McKay Madsen (Clovis North/CS/Fr.) 157-7 discus throw at Gateway to Track and Field, U.S. No. 1 class, CA No. 20 overall

- Jason Parra (Millikan/SS/So.) 9:04.43 for 3200m at The California Relays, U.S. No. 1 in the class

- Landon Pretre (Menlo School/CC/Fr) 8:49.24 3K at Saint Francis Invitational, U.S. No. 1 class

- Derek Smith (Buchanan/CS/So.) 164-11 discus throw at Gateway to Track and Field, CA No. 1 class, CA No. 14 overall

- Aydon Stefanopoulos (Los Gatos/CC/Fr) 4:26.86 mile at Saint Francis Invitational, U.S. No. 1 class

- Jordan Washington (Jordan/SS/So.) 10.45 (2.9) 100m at The California Relays, tied for U.S. No. 15 overall (all conditions), U.S. No. 2 in the class (all conditions).
