Kai Deines, a junior at Redondo Union (SS), hit what was at the time a national-leading discus throw mark of 185-0 at the Redondo Track Festival.

For that performance, you voted Deines the MileSplitCA Boys Track and Field Performer of the Week for the week ending March 12.

Deines received 49.53 percent of nearly more than 10,400 votes in a statewide poll. Aiden Pastorian, a senior at Great Oak (SS), was second in the voting, receiving 39.28 percent of the vote.

Each week we will put seven top performers from the past week on the line and let you choose the top CA Track and Field Performer of the Week.

Note that rankings are based on results in the MileSplit database as of Monday morning and are subject to change as more results are loaded into the database.

Voting closes Friday at 9 p.m.
