Khaliq won the Dan Gabor Invitational with a clearance of 14-0. That mark ranks U.S. No. 1 in the class and tied for 16th overall in CA. Of the 23 boys in CA who have cleared 14 feet so far this season, 17 are seniors and four are juniors. Turlock (SJ) sophomore Max McFarlane is the only other non-senior or junior to have cleared at least 14 feet. McFarlane has cleared 14 feet in each of his last two meets.
In an interview with MileSplit's Damin Esper, Muhammad said he used his 15-150 pole.
