Tiffany Sax, a freshman at Newbury Park (SS), ran a then-U.S. No. 1 time for 3200 meters of 10:29.15 to win by more than 74 seconds at the Trevor Habberstad Track Invitational in Canyon Country on February 25.
For that performance, you voted this young distance standout as the MileSplitCA Girls Performer of the Week for the week ending Feb. 26.
Sax received 47.65 percent of nearly 15K votes in a statewide poll. Kylee Davis, a senior at Golden Valley (SS), was second in the voting, receiving 42.31 percent of the vote.
